Our Story

Born from Black and Silence

Founded in 2018, Verynoir began as a small independent design studio shaped by a quiet obsession with black materials, raw texture, and objects that carry emotion without speaking loudly.

In the early days, our work started from simple experiments with clay, wood, metal, and shadow. We were not interested in making decorative objects that only looked beautiful from a distance. Instead, we wanted to understand how an object changes a space the moment it is placed there — a cup resting on a table, a candle standing upright, a tissue drawn from a box, a flower held by a narrow wooden form, or a piece of jewelry placed on a dark base.

These ordinary moments became the beginning of Verynoir’s design language.

We are drawn to black because black does not explain itself. It holds weight, shadow, restraint, and mystery. In our work, black is not only a color, but a state of stillness. It allows texture to appear more honestly, allows form to become quieter, and allows small details to carry greater meaning.

The Silver Cross Signature

The silver cross is one of the most recognizable marks of Verynoir. It is not used as a loud symbol, nor is it meant to define belief. For us, the cross is a quiet coordinate — a mark of order, direction, boundary, and balance. It appears across ceramic cups, wooden objects, trays, coasters, tissue boxes, candle holders, fragrance pieces, and display stands as a restrained sign of structure within darkness.

Our design inspiration comes from raw materials and imperfect surfaces: the uneven texture of handmade ceramic, the natural grain of solid wood, the cold reflection of brushed metal, the slow trace of hand-rubbed color, and the quiet changes that happen when an object is touched, placed, used, and aged.

Over the years, Verynoir has continued to refine this language through small-batch making and hand-finished details. We do not pursue perfect uniformity. Every texture, mark, crack, grain, and variation is part of the object’s life. These traces are not flaws to be hidden, but signs of material, time, and handwork.

Verynoir creates handcrafted objects for people who are sensitive to atmosphere, detail, and silence. Each piece is designed to exist between function and art. A mug is not only a vessel. A tray is not only a surface. A coaster is not only protection. A candle holder is not only for flame. These objects become part of a daily ritual, quietly shaping the way a space feels.

Objects Held in Silence

Our creative intention is simple: to make objects that do not demand attention, but change the atmosphere around them. Through ceramic, wood, metal, scent, and shadow, we explore the relationship between material and emotion, use and stillness, function and personal expression.

Verynoir is not built around brightness, trend, or excessive decoration. It is built around restraint. Around the depth of black. Around the trace of handwork. Around the silver cross as a silent mark. Around the belief that beauty can be quiet, mysterious, and deeply personal.

We create objects for spaces that do not need to explain themselves.
